A moving target. Sometimes sticker shock. That's how it feels to put together an event budget these days. Supply chain issues, the labor shortage and lasting effects of the pandemic have all affected the numbers. How do you budget for these in-person events when prices keep rising? And more importantly, how do you ensure a wonderful experience for your attendees when the dollars don't add up?

Time for a reality check. Expectations may have to be evaluated and budgets updated based on the conditions of here and now. A realistic contingency bucket is even more important to deal with these fluctuations as they seem to happen more often than not. So be the queen (or king) of the numbers and you'll be having a good time. Still nervous? Be your own champion and hire a professional in the biz to help navigate the turbulence of this current market.
